Job summary

Power Electronics, a global leader in renewable energy solutions, is hiring a Field Services Technician in Blythe, CA. You will be a key part of our technical operations, ensuring optimal performance of utility-scale solar and battery inverter systems at sites nationwide.

The role requires licensed electrician status or electrical engineering degree, 2–3 years field service experience, and willingness to travel across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must have licensure or certification as electrician (journeyman or master).
• Degree in electrical/electronics engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years in field service or maintenance of industrial electrical equipment.
• Experience with solar inverters is desirable.
• Knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA NFPA 70E is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up and commissioning of solar inverters at photovoltaic plants.
• Configure and operate systems according to specifications.
• Diagnose and repair inverter faults in the field.
• Replace components such as MV transformers, switchgear, boards, fuses, fans, and filters.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance and software/hardware updates.
• Submit daily field reports and manage parts inventory.
• Provide technical assistance and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain company property and ensure proper wiring installation.
• Travel across the U.S. for on-site support and 24/7 coverage when needed.
