Job summary

Power Electronics seeks a Field Services Technician to support utility-scale solar and battery inverter systems. You will start up and commission inverters, verify configuration, diagnose faults, and replace MV transformers, switchgear, boards, fuses, fans, and filters in the field.

You’ll perform preventive/corrective maintenance, document daily field reports, manage parts inventory, and assist with safety compliance and customer support while traveling as needed across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master Electrician license required or strongly preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering or related field desired.
• Minimum 2–3 years in field service, commissioning, or maintenance of industrial electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up and commissioning of solar inverters at photovoltaic plants.
• Ensure systems are configured and operating per specifications.
• Diagnose and repair inverter faults in the field.
• Replace components such as MV transformers, switchgear, electronic boards, fuses, fans and filters.
• Conduct scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance (software/hardware).
• Submit accurate daily field reports and maintain inventory of parts.
• Provide technical assistance and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Travel across the U.S. and be available for emergency 24/7 service when needed.
