Job summary

Power Electronics is seeking a Field Services Technician to ensure the optimal performance of utility-scale solar and battery inverter systems. You will perform start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance at photovoltaic plants nationwide.

Qualified candidates have Journeyman or Master Electrician licenses (or an associate/bachelor in electrical/electronics), 2–3 years in field service, and strong practical knowledge of electrical systems. Expect travel across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master electrician license; or related electrical/electronics degree.
• 2–3 years of field service, commissioning, or maintenance experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems; experience with solar inverters desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up and commissioning of solar inverters at photovoltaic plants.
• Configure and operate systems per specifications; diagnose inverter faults in the field.
• Replace components such as MV transformers, switchgear, boards, fuses, fans, and filters.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and software/hardware updates.
• Submit daily field reports and manage expenses and inventory.
• Provide technical support and ensure customer satisfaction; follow safety protocols.
• Maintain company assets and proper wiring installations; travel across the U.S.
