Job summary

Sunrun Installation Services Inc. is seeking a Hybrid Field Technician to support the residential solar installation process, from site surveys to final inspections. You will collect measurements, photos, and data to enable accurate solar design and ensure compliance with codes.

This fast-paced field role calls for hands-on problem solving, precise documentation, and collaboration with installation teams across multiple sites. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PV design, PV installation or PV electrical experience helpful (1 year preferable).
• Comfortable working on roofs, ladders, and in elevated spaces.
• Familiar with basic hand tools and measuring devices.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer homes to collect measurements and data for solar design.
• Assess roof conditions and electrical panels using standardized tools.
• Climb ladders, walk rooftops, and inspect attics as required.
• Submit survey data using mobile field tools in a timely manner.
• Perform post-install inspections and ensure readiness for AHJ or utility approvals.
• Ensure installed systems meet plans, code, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with install teams and project managers to resolve inspection issues.
