Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting across solar, storage, and HV substation projects. You will emphasize safety, supervise on-site activities, and ensure accurate reporting for multiple sites nationwide.

The role starts as a contingent position with potential to become permanent, with travel to remote locations, on-call duties, and adherence to industry safety standards. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade school a plus.
• Minimum four years of solar facility maintenance/repair.
• Demonstrated ability to operate system monitoring applications.
• Advanced knowledge of solar systems, protection/controls, inverters and transformers.
• Ability to pass electrical schematics and hydraulics/pneumatic diagrams exams.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety as the top priority on site.
• Perform and supervise field maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure safe working environment per safety standards.
• Prepare accurate site operation reports and documentation.
• Provide training for Solar Technician Levels I–IV.
