Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks an experienced Field Service Technician to maintain and repair solar facilities, ensuring safety and reliability. You will supervise site activities, troubleshoot equipment, and document operations while coordinating with EPC teams.

Qualified candidates have four+ years in solar maintenance, OSHA 30 and NFPA 70e, strong English communication, and ability to work in remote, extreme conditions with on-call availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational/technical training a plus.
• Minimum four years of solar facility maintenance experience.
• Advanced computer operation and ability to use system monitoring applications.
• Advanced knowledge of solar systems, protection devices, control devices, power supplies, loads, conductors, inverters and transformers.
• Ability to troubleshoot network and telemetry issues.
• Ability to pass exams on electrical schematics and symbols.
• Ability to pass exams on electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to pass exams on hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
• Must be OSHA 30 and NFPA 70e certified; maintain trainings.
• Strong English communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Safety is the top priority and all employees must follow safe practices.
• Perform and supervise site maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting per management directions.
• Direct and oversee safety regulations and work procedures for the team.
• Prepare timely and accurate site operation reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with EPC management on process improvements and new tech implementations.
• Provide ongoing training for Solar Technician Levels I–IV.
• Respond on-call to assist in emergency equipment repairs.
