Job summary

New Energy Equity is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician III- Solar to act as the technical authority in the field. You will lead complex inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs at solar sites in and around Faribault, MN, driving safety and efficiency.

You will mentor technicians and advance along a defined development pathway. The role requires an active Minnesota Master Electrician license or the ability to obtain it, with relocation support and a $3,000 sign-on bonus offered.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota Master Electrician license or ability to convert to Minnesota license.
• Experience leading field teams on electrical installation/maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards (LOTO, NFPA 70E).
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive inspections of solar power plants and field operations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex PV system and grid integration issues; oversee repairs.
• Mentor and train junior technicians; provide on-site leadership.
• Uphold safety policies, PPE, Lockout/Tagout plans, and quality standards.
