Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Certified Hybrid Field Technician to support the residential solar installation pipeline. You will perform site assessments before installation and inspections after installation, with field work across various locations.

This fast‑paced role suits those who enjoy hands‑on work, problem solving, and customer interaction. You will follow intraday schedules, gather accurate data, and ensure inspections meet internal standards and local codes.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid state‑recognized Electrical Certification at Journeyman level or higher required.
PV design/installation experience or reading blueprints is helpful (1+ year field construction preferred).

Responsibilities

Visit customer homes to collect measurements, photos, and data for solar design.
Assess roof conditions, electrical service panels, and property features.
Climb ladders, walk rooftops, and perform attic inspections as needed.
Submit survey data using mobile field tools.
Perform post-install inspection visits to ensure readiness for AHJ inspection or utility approval.
Verify installed systems match plans and meet safety standards.
Coordinate with install teams and project managers to resolve inspection issues.
