Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Certified Hybrid Field Technician to support solar installations from site assessment through post-install inspection. You will gather measurements, photographs, and electrical data, evaluate roof conditions, and work across rooftops and attics to ensure data accuracy and readiness for installation and inspections.

The role requires a Journeyman-level electrical certification, PV installation experience, and comfort with ladders and outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state electrical certification at Journeyman or higher.
• PV design/installation experience preferred (reading blueprints, etc.).
• Comfortable working on roofs and ladders; physically capable.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer homes to collect measurements, photos, and data for design.
• Assess roof conditions and electrical service panels.
• Climb ladders, walk roofs, and perform attic inspections as needed.
• Submit survey data via mobile field tools.
• Perform post-install inspection and ensure readiness for AHJ/utility approvals.
• Coordinate with install teams to resolve inspection issues.
• Document inspections for readiness and communicate with customers and AHJ.
