Job summary

IronRidge, Inc is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to cultivate business opportunities through technical product application support, product demonstrations, joint calls with sales, and on-site customer visits. You will train customers, gather feedback, and design PV layouts to support sales and end users.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience or a 4-year degree, familiarity with Salesforce, Excel, and PV design tools, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, installation procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to lift and carry solar modules up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfort working at heights, including rooftop operations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan territory technical sales visits, events, and trainings.
  • Generate training reports for customer and sales engagements.
  • Coordinate on-the-job training for new opportunities on ground and rooftop.
  • Provide feedback on product improvements and training content.
  • Develop curriculum for new products/services with reference materials.
  • Maintain records and report changes in products and market trends.
  • Report on competitive landscape and market intelligence.
  • Design PV layouts in PV design software to support Sales, Distributors, and End Users.
  • Document application support questions and calls.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering and Product Teams for development.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
