Job summary

First Solar in Louisiana is seeking a Production Coater Technician I to start the manufacturing process with coating the semiconductor. The role requires safe operation of coating equipment, material handling, and adherence to quality and throughput targets.

You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to alarms, and conduct basic quality checks. Training on certified tasks may be provided; internal candidates require endorsement and a positive safety/performance rating.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Warehousing, textile, agriculture, or material inspection experience may substitute for direct manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate coating equipment and manage materials for photovoltaic module manufacturing.
• Perform preventative maintenance and address intermediate alarms.
• Conduct basic quality control procedures and document results.
• Operate floor systems using hand tools and simple interfaces.
• Provide training on tasks after certification.
