Job summary

First Solar, Inc. in Louisiana is seeking a Production Coater Technician I to begin the manufacturing process with the coating of photovoltaic modules. The role safely operates equipment, manages materials, and conducts basic quality control while applying SPC concepts.

You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to intermediate alarms, and train teammates as certified, while working in a team environment and following all safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, technical certificate preferred.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience or relevant substitute experience.
• Internal candidates: 60 credits of internal training or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety procedures and maintains housekeeping.
• Safely operates and maintains tools to meet quality goals.
• Completes training within required timeframe and mentors teammates.
• Performs equipment maintenance with hand tools and instrumentation.
• Operates forklift and crane with proper training when required.
• Communicates effectively with team members and leadership during shifts.
• Monitors process data and alarms to maintain process control.
