Job summary

QE Solar is seeking a Solar Field Technician in Boise, ID to support field services for solar and battery storage systems. You will troubleshoot equipment, perform maintenance, and assist with site inspections and compliance. This role requires 0–2+ years of technical experience and a High School/Technical School diploma.

Expect extensive travel regionally; the position is on-site and full-time, with safety training and certifications emphasized.

Qualifications

• 0–2+ years of specialist, technical experience with solar projects, BESS, or other renewable systems; experience with data acquisition systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair systems at existing solar sites; troubleshoot equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Support field teams and clients with warranty matters; ensure safety compliance and proper reporting.
• Install, remove, troubleshoot and maintain solar, BESS and related electrical equipment.
• Communicate with technical leads and subcontractors to ensure timely resolution of activities.
