Job summary

QE Solar, a leading independent solar and BESS O&M provider, seeks a field electrical technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain solar sites and BESS equipment across multiple sites. The role emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, and timely communication with operations teams.

Requirements include a valid IL Journeyman license and 1+ year electrical experience. Inverter/BESS certifications and OSHA/NFPA70E training are highly valued.

Qualifications

• IL Journeyman license required.
• 1+ years of electrical experience with an electrical license.
• Inverter and/or BESS manufacturers' certifications preferred.
• Thermography certifications (Level 1) preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification and NFPA 70E training required/preferred.
• CPR/First Aid beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair solar sites and BESS equipment.
• Develop solutions to site operations issues and communicate with operations teams.
• Diagnose/troubleshoot equipment failures and perform preventative maintenance.
• Prepare service tickets and reports for site visits and repairs; coordinate with customers and subcontractors.
• Ensure safety and adherence to protocols and regulations.
