Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie in Plano, Texas seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional team delivering SaaS software using Agile methodologies. You will oversee development across stateside and offshore resources, ensuring timely, high-quality releases while coordinating with product managers and stakeholders.

Requires 5–7 years managing agile software teams, strong Microsoft tech and cloud experience, and a proven track record of on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or technology, information systems or software engineering course of study or relevant experience required.
5–7 years of managing agile software engineering teams building SaaS products with a track record of on-time deliveries required.
Experience with delivering software products using Microsoft technologies is required.
Experience in Cloud technologies and web development.
Experience working with offshore resources is a plus.
A deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with the tools and technologies in areas such as issue tracking, builds, delivery, documentation, and release management.

Delivering software (40%): Ensure the quality, timeliness and cost of projects meet client and business requirements; Collaborate with Product Managers to navigate scope, commitments, release timeline or other project variables; Escalate as needed; Communicate status; Provide release management support.
