Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for building and supporting modern enterprise applications and digital platforms. Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive technology/software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of technical leadership or people management experience.
• Experience with enterprise-scale applications and modern languages (C#, Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and cloud-based development.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of front-end, back-end, and full-stack software engineers.
• Provide technical direction across architecture, design, and complex engineering decisions.
• Drive delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
• Establish engineering standards and improve development processes.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, DevOps, Security, and other technology teams.
• Lead application modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Support Agile development practices and modern CI/CD processes.
• Help define technical roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, performance management, and development of engineering talent.
• Manage project priorities, delivery timelines, technical risks, and team capacity.
• Promote automation, testing, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Communicate technical strategy, progress, and risks to both technical and business stakeholders.
