Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive technology/software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of technical leadership or people management experience.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and cloud-based development.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.

Software Engineering Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers responsible for building and supporting modern enterprise applications and digital platforms.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can develop people, improve engineering processes, contribute technically, and work closely with product, architecture, infrastructure, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of front-end, back-end, and full-stack software engineers
• Provide technical direction while remaining involved in architecture, design, and complex engineering decisions
• Drive delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions
• Establish engineering standards and improve development processes
• Partner with Product, Architecture, DevOps, Security, and other technology teams
• Lead application modernization and cloud transformation initiatives
• Support Agile development practices and modern CI/CD processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, MIS, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive technology/software engineering experience
• 3+ years of technical leadership or people management experience
• Strong understanding of modern software development and Agile practices
• Experience leading teams responsible for enterprise-scale applications
• Strong knowledge of modern programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Experience with cloud-based application development
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with containers and modern application deployment practices
• Experience designing and integrating APIs
• Experience modernizing legacy applications or transitioning to newer architectures
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Experience

• Azure or comparable public cloud platform
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation/IaC tooling
• Azure DevOps or comparable CI/CD platforms
