Job summary

CyberTrend in Annapolis Junction, Maryland seeks a Software Engineer with TS/SCI clearance to develop and enhance complex software systems, including analytics and real-time processing. You will work individually or in teams, review components, and contribute to system design decisions, with a focus on reuse of COTS/GOTS and requirements synthesis.

The role requires strong Java experience, MapReduce and cloud expertise, and a degree in CS or related field, with potential for degree substitution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of SWE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong Java, MapReduce and cloud experience required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
