Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Logistics Engineering team supporting Stripe Terminal devices. You will scope, design, and build large-scale systems that cover ordering, fulfillment, returns, warranties, and repairs, and develop APIs and internal tools that connect Stripe with manufacturers, logistics providers, repair centers, and partners.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional software development experience.
• Familiarity with the full life cycle of software development, from design and implementation to testing and deployment.
• Empathy, strong communication skills and effective communication with stakeholders
• A learning mindset, regardless of level or experience
• The ability to drive clear next steps when encountering ambiguous spaces without clear lines of ownership
• High standards for code quality and a constructive attitude to help others raise the bar

Responsibilities

• Scope, design, build, and maintain large-scale systems that support the end-to-end lifecycle of Stripe Terminal devices, including ordering, fulfillment, returns, warranties, and repairs.
• Develop APIs, integrations, and internal tools that connect Stripe with manufacturers, logistics providers, repair centres, and other partners.
• Build intuitive web experiences that help Terminal users and internal teams order devices, manage orders, and handle returns and repairs.
• Improve the efficiency and scalability of logistics operations by identifying patterns and simplifying complex workflows.
• Debug and resolve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to bring new capabilities to Terminal users.
