Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering with staff-level impact across multiple teams or systems.
Proven ability to design and ship large-scale, distributed, highly available, financially correct backend systems.
Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects end-to-end, from requirements to delivery and iteration.
Strong API design instincts and ability to expose simple interfaces over complex financial requirements.
Ability to influence technical direction and align multiple teams without direct authority; excellent communication.
High ownership mindset; comfortable with ambiguity and defining problems and plans.
Clear, precise communication of complex technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Scope, design, build, and maintain APIs and large-scale systems handling billions of money-movement requests.
Debug and resolve critical production issues; mentor engineers to grow.
Collaborate with stakeholders to build features at scale while improving internal standards, tooling, and processes.
Collaborate effectively in distributed and hybrid teams with open communication.
