DocuSign seeks a Software Engineering Intern on the DevX and Extensibility team in a hybrid role based in California. Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May/June 2028.
• Field of study in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Experience with object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms (through coursework, side projects, or prior internships).
• Experience writing, debugging, and testing code in at least one modern programming language.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS).
• Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript, or an interest in learning them.
• Exposure to modern 'agentic' developer tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding tools.
• Strong communication skills and a demonstrated hunger to learn new technologies and understand how systems work under the hood.
• A proactive attitude toward identifying problems, proposing solutions, and collaborating with others to implement them.
• Interest in backend, platform, or distributed systems development and in building reliable, secure services.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement guardrails and safety mechanisms for MCP extensions and connectors that interact with external systems and 3P applications
• Build and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting to provide deep visibility into Agent behavior and flows within the IRIS ecosystem
• Contribute to backend and/or services codebases, including writing, debugging, and testing code for new features and improvements under the guidance of your mentor and team
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design discussions, implementation, code reviews, testing, deployment, and post-deployment monitoring
• Help define and improve developer experiences for internal and external builders using our platform, including contributing to documentation and examples where needed
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (product, security, platform teams) to understand requirements and translate them into well-scoped engineering tasks
• Present your work through demos and a final internship presentation, highlighting your design decisions, impact, and learnings
