Docusign is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for the DevX and Extensibility team. You will help build guardrails, monitoring, and insights powering MCP extensions and connectors for third-party apps.

This 12-week internship reports to the Director of Software Engineering and collaborates with senior engineers. You’ll design telemetry, logging, and safety mechanisms to improve observability, resilience, and extensibility, contributing to backend code, testing, and documentation while gaining

Competenze

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in CS, SE, or related field with expected graduation 2027–2028.
• Experience with object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience writing, debugging, and testing code in at least one modern language.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Interest in TypeScript or JavaScript and learning them.
• Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot.
• Strong communication and desire to learn.
• Interest in backend/platform/distributed systems.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement guardrails and safety mechanisms for MCP extensions and connectors that interact with external systems and 3P applications.
• Build and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting to provide deep visibility into Agent behavior and flows within the IRIS ecosystem.
• Contribute to backend and/or services codebases, including writing, debugging, and testing code for new features and improvements under the guidance of your mentor and team.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design discussions, implementation, code reviews, testing, deployment, and post-deployment monitoring.
• Help define and improve developer experiences for internal and external builders using our platform, including contributing to documentation and examples where needed.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into well-scoped engineering tasks.
• Present your work through demos and a final internship presentation, highlighting your design decisions, impact, and learnings.
