Job summary

DocuSign, Inc. invites a Software Engineering Intern to join the DevX and Extensibility team for 12 weeks. You’ll help design guardrails, telemetry, logging, and safety mechanisms for MCP extensions and connectors interacting with external systems, under mentorship from senior engineers.

This role blends backend work with platform visibility and reliability. Remote/hybrid by design; in-office presence required at least two days a week, with a focus on learning, collaboration, and delivering

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with graduation between Dec 2027 and May/June 2028.
Field of study: Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline.
Experience with object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms.
Experience writing, debugging, and testing code in at least one modern language.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior engineers to design guardrails and safety mechanisms for MCP extensions and connectors.
Build monitoring, logging, and alerting for visibility into Agent behavior and flows.
Contribute to backend/services code and participate in full SDLC under mentorship.
Help define developer experiences and contribute to documentation and examples.
Partner with product/security/platform teams to translate requirements into tasks.
Present work via demos and a final internship presentation.
