Job summary

IllTip is seeking a Software Engineer III to join a small product pod on the estimates side of our core platform, collaborating with a product manager, a designer and a test engineer. The team ships to production continuously and measures success by customer outcomes.

You will design, build, ship and operate backend and frontend features end-to-end, own critical services and improve their reliability, performance and maintainability, and raise engineering quality through thoughtful code reviews

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with impact over tenure.
• Production experience with C#/.NET and Angular, and Azure SQL Server or similar database.
• Cloud platforms, CI/CD and observability tools, plus willingness to participate in on-call rotation.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and reasoning about latency, consistency and scale trade-offs.
• Current daily use of coding assistants or AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, ship and operate backend and frontend features end-to-end.
• Own critical services and improve reliability, performance and maintainability.
• Anticipate failure modes, add guardrails, and implement post-incident improvements.
• Raise engineering quality through code reviews, design docs and documentation.
• Use AI-assisted development tools and help the team adopt them.
