Prompt.io Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain production web applications, services, and APIs. You will own features from development through deployment and work with Product to deliver scalable solutions.

You will collaborate across front-end and back-end, write clean, tested code, and help improve performance, reliability, and security. This role supports a fully remote environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required.
• Strong experience with web apps using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with React and Java or OO languages.
• Experience building and consuming APIs and service-based architectures.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with microservices and cloud-based apps.
• Experience with Git and modern development practices.
• Understanding of testing, security, and maintainability.
• Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain production web applications, services, and APIs.
• Own features and projects from development through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product to scope, design, and deliver new features and improvements.
• Develop and maintain services and APIs that power our applications.
• Write clean, reusable, well-tested, and maintainable code.
• Work across front-end and back-end systems to deliver complete solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Contribute to the performance, scalability, reliability, and security of our applications.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team planning.
• Contribute to improving development practices and overall code quality.
