Job summary

IllTip is seeking a backend-leaning full-stack engineer to join a fast-growing AI audio and video platform. You will design and ship data-heavy backend services, draft RFCs, and shape data structures in collaboration with the team lead.

You will drive a greenfield video workflow from concept to production, building frontend and integration pieces for creators and enterprise customers. You’ll influence feature decisions, own parts of the delivery, and work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Proven track record designing and shipping complex, data-heavy systems end to end.
• Strong generalist skills across backend and frontend development.
• Solid understanding of data modelling and enterprise concerns such as usage reporting and account management.
• Evidence of product ownership, such as side projects, open source contributions or product-facing work.
• Experience driving projects from inception to launch with little supervision.
• Must be based in the United States, United Kingdom, Poland or Bulgaria.
• Experience with media or video-processing pipelines is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and build complex, data-heavy backend services that duplicate and adapt finished video projects at scale
• Write design proposals (RFCs) and shape data structures with the team lead before implementation
• Take the project from first draft through to production launch with limited oversight
• Build the supporting frontend and integration pieces needed for creators to use the workflow
• Add usage reporting and account-level features that enterprise customers require
• Make product calls on which features are worth building and which should wait
