Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III within the Legal Technology Data Management team in Columbus, OH. You will be a seasoned member of an agile team designing and delivering trusted, secure technology products at scale, supporting the firm's business objectives.

You will develop secure production code, leverage AI-assisted tools, create architecture artifacts, and contribute to continuous improvement across multiple data and software domains.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with evaluation of outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure handling of data inputs/outputs.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains efficient algorithms.
• Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity with peer review and testing.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development capabilities to improve automation value.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints.
• Gathers, analyzes, and visualizes data to support continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• Identifies hidden data patterns to drive coding hygiene and architectural improvements.
