Job summary

JPMorganChase in the Corporate Sector's AI/ML & data Platforms team seeks a Software Engineer III to design and deliver trusted technology products in a secure, scalable way. You will work on critical technology solutions across multiple areas and business functions to support the firm’s objectives.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Experience with enterprise AI-assisted development tools and evaluating AI outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure handling of data.
• Knowledge of AWS Data Management tools (Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift, Lake Formation).
• Proficiency in Python or Java and SQL in a large corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met.
• Gathers, analyzes, and visualizes data from large datasets to improve software applications.
• Identifies hidden problems in data to drive improvements to code and architecture.
• Contributes to communities of practice and explores new technologies.
• Leverages AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and productivity with peer review and testing.
• Applies SDLC tools and automation to improve value.
• Develops secure Data Lake solutions in AWS; implements IaaS with Terraform/Python/Java for AWS resources.
• Development of IaaS through Terraform and scripting for AWS services
