Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III in Columbus, OH to join a collaborative team delivering scalable software powering critical business operations. You will contribute across the full SDLC, from design to deployment, while applying cloud/distributed systems knowledge and AI-assisted tooling to improve code quality and delivery velocity.

You will write and review code, participate in agile ceremonies, and help maintain automation tests and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 3+ years of practical experience.
• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Experience with design patterns, data structures and algorithms.
• Hands-on with Git/version control.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and distributed systems concepts.
• Ability to write and maintain automated unit/integration tests.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration across teams.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools with critical evaluation for correctness, performance and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
