Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Observability team. You will enhance system reliability and MTTR for Business Insurance apps, focusing on Dynatrace and OpenTelemetry to define dashboards and alerting with business impact in mind.

You will develop Infrastructure-as-Code for Dynatrace configurations, mentor colleagues, and operate as a capable individual contributor to meet project commitments while expanding technical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related STEM field.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace SaaS and OpenTelemetry.
• Proficiency with IaC using Terraform and observability platforms.

Responsibilities

• Improve observability posture and reliability across applications and agents.
• Develop and maintain IaC for Dynatrace configurations and monitoring workflows.
• Analyze defects and incidents of advanced complexity and guide remediation.
• Translate business processes into observability requirements and dashboards.
