Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to help shape the next generation of the One membership platform powering UberEats and UberX. You will design scalable, highly available systems, collaborate with PMs, DS and design, and drive architectural decisions across microservices to deliver impact at scale.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in large-scale web systems, strong JS/TS skills, React/Node.js, GraphQL, and a passion for high-quality UI and platform

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale systems.
• Hands-on web development with HTML5, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with React/Angular/Vue and modern UI frameworks.
• Proficient with Node.js, GraphQL or similar server-side JS tech.
• Experience delivering web apps for hundreds of millions of users.
• Strong fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, design.
• Ability to identify architectural gaps and drive velocity with frameworks.
• Success leading end-to-end technical projects and stakeholder alignment.
• Expertise in testing, monitoring, and incident management standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to evolve the One program across UberEats and UberX.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, data science and designers to build products used by millions.
• Architect robust, scalable systems for reliability and global deployment.
• Drive tech strategy for platform evolution, microservices, and API design.
• Foster engineering culture and accelerate velocity and quality.
