Slate is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to design, build, and ship features for our direct-to-consumer EV platform. You will work with product, UX, and senior engineers, delivering customer-facing software that connects buyers with Slate from discovery to ownership.

You will own features end-to-end, contribute to code and design reviews, and ensure high-quality releases with unit and functional tests.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building and shipping features in customer-facing software systems.
• Working knowledge of web services, APIs, and modern software development practices, including testing and code review.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver features and components independently, with minimal day-to-day direction.
• Code and test your work and participate in code and design reviews.
• Own the quality of what you ship, including unit and functional tests.
