Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Software Engineer II to join a leadership team in Enterprise Technology. You will strengthen internal developer experience by refining build, test, and CI workflows, partnering with service teams, and turning recurring issues into scalable solutions.

A product-minded engineer will help apply AI-enabled automation to engineering processes. The role is remote from the United States with competitive compensation and equity opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals in Scala, Java, Kotlin, or similar.
• Experience with build systems and CI tools (Bazel, SBT, GitHub Actions).
• Able to debug complex build and developer workflow issues.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer II to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will focus on improving the internal developer experience by strengthening build, test, and continuous integration workflows across engineering teams. You will partner closely with service teams to reduce friction, increase reliability, and create better tools, libraries, and documentation that support faster software delivery. The position also calls for a product-minded engineer who can turn recurring workflow issues into scalable solutions and help apply AI-enabled automation to engineering processes.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $115,000 – $160,000 annually
