Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a software engineer to accelerate our ad search and backend systems in a remote-first environment. You will collaborate with a global team, design scalable services in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or Kotlin, and help ship reliable features for our ads and marketplace experience.

You’ll contribute to a fast-paced culture with growth, ownership, and clear communication, with a focus on code quality and operational reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience with Javascript/Typescript.
• Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale; proficient in Python or Kotlin.
• Able to turn simple problems or business scenarios into multi-component solutions with clear, tested, extensible code.
• Comfortable navigating a large code base, debugging others’ code, and giving feedback via code reviews.

• Collaborate with team and stakeholders, keeping visibility on risks and trade-offs.
