Affirm, Inc. is seeking engineers to contribute to a growing Ads and Marketplace initiative. You will collaborate across teams to deliver backend systems at scale, using JavaScript/TypeScript and Python or Kotlin.

You’ll own the quality of code, participate in reviews, and communicate trade-offs with stakeholders to ensure reliable, scalable solutions. The role emphasizes growth, clear ownership, and global collaboration within a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale; proficient with Python or Kotlin.
• Ability to translate simple problems into multi-component solutions with well-tested, extensible code.
• Comfort navigating a large codebase and providing feedback via code reviews.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
