Affirm, Inc. is a remote-first company building a clear, predictable pay-over-time experience for customers. We’re hiring engineers to shape backend systems at scale across Ads and Marketplace while collaborating with a global team.

You’ll write clean, well-tested code in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python or Kotlin, own complex interactions across services, and contribute to a culture of growth and transparency.

Qualifications

• Experience with JS/TS and backend systems at scale.
• Proficient in Python or Kotlin for backend services.
• Experience taking problems and implementing multi-component solutions.
• Able to navigate large codebases and review others’ code.
• Demonstrates ownership of growth and solicits feedback.
• Strong written and verbal communication with global teams.
• Degree or equivalent practical experience required.
