Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Software Development Manager, Platform Engineering to lead a Platform/DevOps team delivering business-critical apps and strengthening the AWS-based foundation for internal customers.

This remote role focuses on people leadership, execution discipline, and platform reliability across multi-region AWS environments, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.

You will drive GitOps, SLOs, incident response, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve developer productivity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in people leadership roles.
• 7+ years in cloud infrastructure or related fields.
• Proven track record delivering business-critical applications on AWS.
• Expertise with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, and S3.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations and security practices.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, TypeScript, or Node.js.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Software Development Manager, Platform Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This leader will oversee a Platform/DevOps engineering team responsible for delivering business-critical applications and strengthening the technical foundation that supports internal customers and broader engineering productivity. The role will balance people leadership, execution discipline, and platform reliability across cloud infrastructure initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to improve Kubernetes environments, CI/CD practices, and incident response maturity in a multi-region AWS setting.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $148,000 - $264,990 annually
