Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Software Development Manager, Platform Engineering to lead a Platform/DevOps team delivering business-critical apps and strengthening the AWS-based foundation for internal customers.

This remote role focuses on people leadership, execution discipline, and platform reliability across multi-region AWS environments, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.

You will drive GitOps, SLOs, incident response, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve developer productivity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in people leadership roles.
• 7+ years in cloud infrastructure or related fields.
• Proven track record delivering business-critical applications on AWS.
• Expertise with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, and S3.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations and security practices.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, TypeScript, or Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing Platform/DevOps engineering team.
• Own the delivery of business applications, managing roadmap execution and risk.
• Establish and enhance SLOs and incident response practices.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align priorities and progress.
• Evolve Kubernetes/EKS environments across multi-region architectures.
• Drive best practices in GitOps and CI/CD with various tools.
• Build developer-friendly workflows to improve productivity.
