This hands-on technical leadership role requires guiding service-based deployments, mentoring engineers, and defining platform strategy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, cloud, or software engineering.
• Expertise in platform architecture with a focus on scalability, reliability, security, and observability.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including compute, networking, and storage solutions.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, GitOps, and ArgoCD.
• Strong ability to shape cross-functional architecture discussions and influence future platform investments.
• Proven mentoring skills with a track record of fostering high-accountability engineering cultures.

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will shape the technical direction of secure, scalable cloud platform services and help modernize core systems to better support application teams. You will partner closely with software engineers, architecture stakeholders, and infrastructure teams to improve reliability, security, observability, and developer productivity across the engineering organization. The position calls for a hands-on technical leader who can influence platform strategy, guide service-based deployment patterns, and raise engineering standards in a fast-moving environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $200,000 – $215,000 annually
