Job summary

ID.me is seeking an Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join our growing engineering organization in Mountain View, CA. This early-career role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work across product and platform teams, building user-facing features, APIs, and scalable infrastructure in a collaborative environment.

The position requires in-office attendance five days per week at Mountain View, CA, with mentorship from experienced engineers and exposure to modern technologies.

Qualifications

• Graduating May/June 2027 with a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Go, Python, or Ruby).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test software components under the guidance of more experienced engineers.
• Develop API-first services used by internal and external teams.
• Own features end-to-end from design through launch as you grow into greater technical ownership.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies to grow your skills.
• Write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Help troubleshoot issues in development and production environments.
• Learn best practices for software engineering, security, testing, and observability in a platform company.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ship impactful features.
