Job summary

ID.me is seeking a Software Development Engineer Intern to join our Mountain View engineering team. You’ll contribute to building user-facing features, APIs, and platform components under experienced engineers, delivering high-quality software for millions of users.

The role is based in Mountain View, CA, full-time during the 12-week program with onsite attendance. Start dates are May or June 2027; compensation is $60–$70 per hour, with potential housing stipend for eligible students.

Qualifications

• Graduating in 2028 or beyond.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, Go, Python, or Ruby).
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OOP.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test software components under senior engineers.
• Contribute to API-first services used by internal/external teams.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies.
• Write clear, maintainable code and help troubleshoot issues.
• Learn best practices in security, testing, and observability.
