Job summary
Upstart is hiring a Software Engineer II, Delivery to design, build, and operate the systems that release software to production. You will deliver well-scoped projects, contribute to technical design, and enhance reliability and usability of critical deployment platforms.
The role emphasizes AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency and safety in production changes. This remote role supports teams across the U.S.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, plus 3 years of software engineering experience.
- Experience developing production software using one or more general-purpose programming languages.
- Experience designing, building, testing, and operating production software or infrastructure.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, deployment systems, developer tooling, or backend services.
- Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools across the software lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve services, automation, and developer tooling for safe production release and deployment.
- Develop reliable deployment capabilities with progressive rollout and automated rollback.
- Increase visibility into releases, deployments, configuration, and production state.
- Improve reliability, performance, observability, and usability of Delivery systems.
