Job summary

Extend is hiring a Software Engineer II to join the Fulfillments Team. This remote role offers the chance to build AI-native fulfillment, refunds and reverse logistics features for leading ecommerce partners.

You will collaborate with product, design, and operations to design, implement, and ship scalable, serverless applications on AWS, apply context-aware AI features, and own features end-to-end in a fast-growing startup environment. Competitive salary and strong benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-stack experience.
• Hands-on experience building production systems on AWS, including serverless.
• Demonstrated experience shipping AI/LLM features to production.
• Strong API design, versioning, idempotency, and backwards compatibility considerations.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features across all aspects of fulfillment and servicing, including refunds and reverse logistics.
• Own features end to end from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Deliver scalable, event-driven, AI-native applications that improve customer experience.
• Develop SPAs with modern state management and collaborate with design on UX.
• Work with senior engineers on system design and risk assessment.
• Build, test, and monitor AI/agentic features in production with emphasis on quality and safety.
• Utilize AI developer tooling daily and share effective practices with the team.
• Identify investments (refactors, observability, upgrades) and implement them.
