Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store operations leader to plan, direct and supervise daily activities across store departments. You will mentor staff, drive sales, and ensure customer service excellence while maintaining store standards.

The role emphasizes staffing, training, and leadership to promote a safe, efficient shopping environment and to meet company objectives. Growth and education programs support career advancement within the Meijer family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction and to resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Mentors and coaches team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• S spends majority of time within the store communicating with customers and team members to ensure service is delivered.
