Job summary

Meijer is seeking a capable leader to plan, direct, and supervise team members across store operations. You will mentor staff, drive customer service excellence, and ensure store standards and safety are maintained. The role emphasizes staffing decisions, training, and promoting sales growth.

You will work in a fast-paced retail environment with rotational assignments across departments and a focus on leadership development and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience minimum.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli).
• Ability to communicate clear directions to team members.
• Proven ability to resolve conflicts and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Mentor and coach team members; drive customer service and sales.
• Manage P&L, sales goals and shrink control for the department.
• Ensure store appearance, product presentation, and adherence to standards.
• Maintain safety and provide timely training to staff.
• Promote Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and actions.
• Ensure thorough training and strong customer service focus.
