Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Medical Social Worker for an onsite 13-week contract in Laguna facility, starting November 2, 2026. The role requires 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience, case management, and utilization review skills, with Epic as the charting system.

The candidate must hold an MSW and have BLS certification; travel is required. Caseload will be 20-23 patients, with 7-day operation and variable days off, depending on department needs.

Qualifications

• MSW required with LCSW preferred.
• Recent acute care hospital experience within the last 3 months.
• Experience with case management and utilization review.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care and discharge planning for patients and families.
• Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop plans of care.
• Assist with patient education and counseling, including crisis support.

Years of experience 1 full year of acute care experience is required redirect if they do not have.
Weekend REQ:variable 5-day workweek with department operations occurring 7 days per week. Days off will vary and are not guaranteed to be back-to-back, although every effort will be made to schedule consecutive days off when possible
