Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California in Redwood City is seeking Social Studies teachers to design engaging lessons, use data to guide instruction, and foster a joyful, inclusive classroom. The role emphasizes SEL, Restorative Practices, and anti-racist teaching within a high-expectation environment.

Collaborate with Leadership Team and Instructional Coach to continuously improve practice, while maintaining strong family engagement and a commitment to equity across our schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Hold a valid teaching credential in the subject or be eligible for a General Education Limited Assignment Permit, Provisional Internship Permit, or Short Term Staff Permit (CPR certification required).

Responsibilities

• Design engaging Social Studies lessons aligned with KIPP’s vision.
• Use data to guide instruction and student growth.
• Collaborate with Leadership Team and Instructional Coach for ongoing growth.
• Integrate Social Emotional Learning and Restorative Practices.
• Communicate proactively with families and build partnerships.
