Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California in East Palo Alto, CA is seeking a dedicated teacher to design engaging lessons, use student data to guide instruction, and create a classroom where every student learns and thrives.

You will integrate Social Emotional Learning and Restorative Practices to build an inclusive, joyful environment, collaborate with a Leadership Team, and participate in ongoing professional development to grow as an educator and leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited institution is required.
• Must hold a valid teaching credential in the subject or be eligible for permit (CPR certification prerequisite).
• Experience teaching students with demographics similar to our community preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily and long-term lesson plans aligned with KIPP’s academic vision.
• Analyze student data regularly to inform instruction and support student growth.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and rigorous classroom environment grounded in Restorative Practices and SEL.
• Use culturally responsive classroom management strategies to ensure safety, belonging, and high expectations for all students.
• Communicate proactively with families, colleagues, and leaders to build strong partnerships.
• Engage fully in weekly professional development and Communities of Practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including attendance, grades, and behavior data.
