MONO in Minneapolis seeks a Social Director, a player-coach leading the social practice. You will define the agency’s social vision, drive growth, and build a modern, integrated offering across strategy, content, community management, influencer marketing, social commerce, paid social, and emerging platforms.

This role blends senior client advisory with agency leadership. You will mentor a high-performing team, partner with brand, creative, media, PR, and analytics, and ensure social is embedded

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in social strategy, digital marketing, and agency leadership.
• Proven track record building and scaling social practices.
• Experience advising executives and growing new business.
• Deep knowledge of social platforms, creator marketing, and social commerce.
• Strong comms planning, customer journeys, and measurement expertise.
• Familiarity with social tech, analytics, and AI-enabled marketing.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and stakeholder influence.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the agency's social vision and best practices.
• Set standards and identify cultural trends that create new client opportunities.
• Ensure social is embedded in strategy and planning from the start.
• Advise senior clients on trends, opportunities, and risk.
• Collaborate with brand, creative, media, PR, and analytics teams.
