Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Division Shelter in Jefferson City, Missouri seeks a Social Services Manager to coordinate and operate the social service program for shelter and Emergency Assistance and Pathway of Hope services.

This full-time role (40 hours/week) offers a starting pay up to $60,000 per year, with benefits and opportunities to lead a dedicated team in a faith-based community program.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field, with at least one year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to work with diverse and challenging personalities and to communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office WORD, EXCEL, and email applications; data entry into HMIS within 60 days preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, and train social service staff and provide direct supervision.
• Lead weekly Case Conference and maintain program policy compliance.
• Develop client goal plans and maintain case files with activity notes.
• Refer clients to community resources and coordinate referrals to services.
